Education Committee
- Recommend the new scholarship topic for consideration and adoption by the Board of Directors no later than the Board meeting scheduled for June each year.
- Present to the Board at its June meeting a proposed plan for increasing awareness of the scholarship and obtaining more entries; then report back to the board monthly on how this is being addressed.
- Reach out to schools within the territory and post the essay prompt online.
- Review and judge submitted essays.

Finance Committee
- Agree upon the parameters for conducting the yearly audit.
- Prepare all financial records for year audit no later than July 1 each year.
- Report back to the board on the results of the audit
- Ensure FY annual reports to the Secretary of State and IRS are completed as soon as possible, no later than October 31 each year.
- Plan and prepare a summer fundraising letter to Life members.
- Plan and prepare a December fundraising letter to all members to be mailed no later than December 1 each year.
- Prepare an update, including visual graphics, on fundraising status for inclusion in each edition of the newsletter.

Membership Committee
- Actively find recruiting opportunities.
- Monitor all aspects of members - renewal notices, late payments, welcome letters, etc.
- Review application materials for completeness and accuracy when submitted.
- Review all application materials and update them for ease of use and effectiveness no later than July 31 each year.
- 2-3 volunteers
Newsletter Committee
- Set firm dates for article submission deadlines, editing, final assembly, and the mailing
- dates for all four newsletters, reporting back to the Board of Directors on these dates no later than the June meeting.
- Collect and edit articles.

State Fair Operations
- Plan and print all necessary documents and stationary for the Fair no later than July 31 each year.
- Plan to transfer small artifacts from the Fairgrounds to the Snelling office for archiving, photographing, and cleaning following the Fair.

Bylaws/Special Rules of Order Committee
- Review the Bylaws and prepare draft revisions for consideration by the Board of Directors no later than the Board meeting scheduled for September each year.

Marketing & Sales Committee
- Prep all materials for sale at the state fair that are currently located in the office no later than July 31 each year.

- Ensure any sales items being kept for archival purposes are labeled as such and placed with the other materials in the care of the Curator.
- Reach out to local papers/organizations to raise awareness.
- Purchase sale items for the FY by July 1st each year.
