Scholarship Award

The first scholarship was awarded in May 2009. Immediate family members of MTP Board Members are not eligible. 

To be eligible, an applicant must be in senior in high school to a sophomore in college; show proof of acceptance by an accredited junior or academic college or university located within the original boundaries of the Minnesota Territory, as designated by the U.S. Congress; Membership in MTP is not required; Upon receiving proof of the recipient's successful completion of the first term, the $1000 scholarship will be paid directly to the college for application to the second term's expenses.
